This can be made in a slow cooker, pressure cooker (Instant Pot) or in the oven. So good!
INGREDIENTS serves 4
2 tbsps. grass-fed butter
4 1 in. thick boneless pork chops
Salt and Pepper
4 large garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup chicken broth
3/4 lb. green beans, trimmed — or frozen works too!
1 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning or combination of basil, oregano, and thyme
1/2 tsp onion powder or 1/4 cup chopped onion
PROCESS
In a cast iron skillet or your Instant Pot set on Saute, melt the butter. Salt and pepper the pork chops. Place in the pan and brown on both sides, for 3 minutes per side. Remove to a plate.
Saute the minced garlic and fresh onion (if using) in the pan, add the chicken stock and stir to deglaze. If using crock pot or Instant Pot – transfer out of the skillet and into the pot. Add the green beans, Italian Seasoning, onion powder and s&p to taste. Give a stir. Return the porkchops and accumulated juices to the pot, and nestle them in.
Crock Pot or Instant Pot Slow Cook feature: Cook on low for 3 hours
Instant Pot Pressure Cook feature: High pressure for 1 (yes 1) minute – natural release!
Oven: Bake in the skillet or move all to a baking pan and bake for 20 – 30 minutes in a 375 oven.
