A real-time look at what we ate this week. The plan with some notes about diversions from it.

Was visiting a friend out of town and she cooked for me — what a treat!  Many times people feel intimidated cooking for me, but it always feels like so much love to be cared for in this way.  If you extend an invitation, I will be there!

Marinated pork tenderloin
Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Sauteed Eggplant
Steamed Broccoli

Got home very late from my trip and did some hurricane prep, ate out at Melfi’s – a great new place!

Calamari and Lemon
Rigatoni with Spicy Tomatoes, Nduja, Soppressatta and Ricotta

impromptu birthday party for a friend at Graft and Leon’s Chicken and Oysters – it was such a lovely gathering – I really wasn’t hungry and was simply enjoying the company, so I just nibbled on Scott’s clam and lettuce wraps

thinking we were going to be cooped up for the next several days, we went out AGAIN to Rarebit

Patty Melt on Rye (oh yum!)
Fried Okra
Apple Pie and Ice Cream

Now the hurricane cooking begins!

Grilled Steak and Whole Artichokes
Grilled Eggplant, Radicchio, and Onion, Oven-driedTomato, and Fresh Mozarella stacks with Pesto

BBQ Ribs – slow cooked in the oven, finished on the grill, I think I found my favorite way to do these!
Baked Beans in the Instant Pot

Chicken Tacos (in the instant pot) — get the recipe here
Paleo Crepes as the “shells” – that was a fun experiment!
Tomatillo, Avocado, Spinach Guacamole — get the recipe
Quick Pickled Carrots, Radishes, and Onions

Cocktail Bonus: Honeydew Margarita — bye bye, summer!

Dessert Bonus: Paleo Brownies (really more like Texas Sheet Cake) – unusual for me, I’ve been wanting some chocolate!! – This did the trick and is better for my body than most desserts.

As always, if you see something you want the recipe for, let me know!

May your days be truly delicious and satisfying!
